My name is Matthew Riley MacPherson and I'm crazy enough to tour on sport bikes, specifically superbikes. I currently own a Ducati 848. This is a travel log of my journeys and thoughts on true "sports touring", heh.

We made it! NYC and back in a long weekend. We stayed in St. Stephen, Boston, Brooklyn, and Bangor. The trip was awesome, fast, intense, tiring, at times scary, and above all tonnes of fun.
I got pulled over for speeding on the way to Bangor heading home, but the officer kindly let me off with a warning.
I’m on a plane now, waiting to head to Portland. I had to check our motorcycle bag as I didn’t have time to go home first, which also means Sarah got stuck with all of her stuff.
My ass is sore and I’m ready to go to sleep for a day, but that was *fun*.
Night riding through fog and a thunderstorm last night. Fucking awesome.
En route to Moncton, then Halifax.
In Maine! Onwards to Portland, Bangor, and then the border.
It just occurred to me that I took no photos *in* NYC. But we’re in New Haven now, eating at a cute vegetarian restaurant before we kill it through Mass. and Maine.
We made it to New York last night and had a good evening out with my friend James. We are now getting up and heading back.
A red MINI parked next to me last night in downtown Boston! Made me feel somewhat at home.
New York bound!
We decided to stop in Boston for the night, as it’s a few hundred miles closer and the highways were packed and shitty anyway. We also didn’t clear US Customs (and breakfast) until well after noon, so making it to Boston by nine seemed alright, given that we also spent some time having a beer in Bangor.
Onto New York City for the day tomorrow! Tonight, we’re off to find some good food and drinks.
Stopped earlier today on the 9 in Maine, after riding hard with a sport tourer (also from Nova Scotia). Such an awesome road.
Close to Bangor, we stopped for ice cream at this odd combo-place.
